Then again, the point of the administration is to give the fundamental administrations to all residents particularly the individuals who can’t manage. It doesn't target making benefit by offering the types of assistance (Flynn, 2007). The open administrations additionally help different citizenry by implication due to streaming impact of advantages from the individuals who devour the administrations, for example, training. Rather than private administrations which are obtained independently relying upon moderateness, open administrations are made good on all things considered through charges and some can’t b e offered in disengagement. The individuals responsible for guaranteeing the residents get the administrations are the legislators who speak to the requirements of the electorate. The offices used to offer the types of assistance are openly claimed in spite of the fact that the legislature can lease private offices to have the option to offer the types of assistance. The administration through open part changes has been drawing in the administrations of private associations so as to offer proficient administrations. There has likewise been have to offer great types of assistance and limit costs in this way, the legislature utilizes the administration strategies of the private division to accomplish the changes required (Hoggett, 1991). They worked very well together and so did much of the cast. It was not hard to fall in love with the characters, to not just want but to need to reach out to them when they were in distress and to not laugh along when everything was going right. I felt that they had practiced enough that not only were they comfortable inside their characters, but that if the need arose they could deliver their character just as well in improve, without the need for a script. They didn’t fail to make even the minor characters feel like real people, not just mindless background noise to the the stars of this production. For example; the servant Robert hardly says a word throughout the whole thing, and yet I found myself caring very much for him and being able to distinguish a personality in him. Even though he simply carries wine bottles to those who request them and inform people when they re needed somewhere. Life Span Development Cognitive, Social, And Physical...

Life span developmental psychology takes a scientific approach to human growth and change, focusing on change during the life span. There are three main aspects to life span development: cognitive, social, and physical development. This class is not simply a discussion of nature vs. nurture, it explores the interaction between genetic and environmental factors that orient us towards specific behaviors. Initially, my views on life span development were limited to more sociological factors, and did not take into consideration physical developments of the brain. In relation to my personal and professional identity this course has made me realize that development occurs on a spectrum and that not everyone develops at the same time, in the same ways, making me more understanding and compassionate towards those who developed differently than me. The three most important lessons I have learned from this class are that development occurs throughout the entire life span, infants begin learnin g at a very young age, and that senescence begins as early as young adulthood. Development encompasses more than just the changes the body and mind goes through, and many psychologists study the relationship between physical, cognitive, and social development. Physical development begins at conception, whereas cognitive development does not begin until the fetal stage. During this time, the brain becomes much more sophisticated, the hemispheres grow rapidly and the interconnections betweenShow MoreRelatedEssay about Human Growth and Development1057 Words   |  5 PagesGrowth and Development Peter Nyarkoh PSY/280 July 17, 2010 Khurshid Khan Human Growth and Development Human growth and the life span perspective begin from the day of conception and continue throughout the life span. Equity Investments in Crowdfunding Projects †MyAssignmenthelp.com

Question: Discuss about the Equity Investments in Crowdfunding Projects. Answer: Introduction This report contains data related to credit policies and methods which could be used by organizations for the collection of cash. It is prepared under the guidance of the group leader who will give instructions and all the members of the team will be accustomed to act as per his instructions. The group leader has helped team members to collect the required amount of data from reliable sources for preparing cash policies and cash collection methods. With the increasing ramification and fast changes in economic conditions, it is observed that management of cash and finance is required for the business functioning of organizations. In this report, an adamantine study has been prepared on two types of business organizations. There are several factors which affect the credit policies and methods which could be used by organizations for the collection of cash. There are two organizations namely first is a large hotel serving liquor and meals and another one is the large manufacture of leis ure footwear. Both companies are different in nature and accompanied with different complexity of business (Abor, 2017). Organizations are accompanied with several set of activities in which various functions are performed in order to achieve certain level of goals and objectives. Credit policies are developed with a view to increasing the overall turnover of organizations. These policies help organizations to set out the terms and conditions of business and how to deal with their customers and clients in determined approach. Organizations use a number of policies to mitigate the credit risk and boost sales. However, inefficient credit policies may result in customers default and losses of the business. Credit policies of hotel serving liquor and meals together with the provision of motel style accommodation to the traveling public Credit policies of the hotel serving liquor and meals will be based on its clients and their reciprocate behavior. It is assumed that all the customers are in liquor business are more inclined towards not paying their debts and keeping themselves in debt amount. However, there are several points which could be taken into account by hotel serving liquor and meals while setting up its credit policies. Credit limit- Hotel serving liquor and meals would need to set out the maximum limit to which it could allow credit to its clients. In addition to this, in the hospitality industry clients are given all the services on credit and asked to make payment only after when they have availed and satisfied their services. Hotel serving liquor and meals could enhance their credit payment cycle for the certain customers who are having a good amount of track record (Healy Palepu, 2012). Credit term- It is evaluated that in the hospitality industry customers are given all the services on credit and asked to make payment only after when they have availed and satisfied their services. Therefore, hotel serving liquor and meals would have credit policies of taking payment from the clients only when they have availed the services provided by organizations (Hirschey, 2008). Clients information- It is evaluated that if clients in the hotel serving liquor and meals come on frequent basis then in order to boost the sales organizations would allow customers to take credit purchase of liquor and other substance. However, hotel serving liquor and meals needs to set up a limit for determining up to which extent clients would be allowed to take credit. Documentation- Ideally in business of hotel serving liquor and meals, organizations do not maintain proper data for their clients such as contract, amount of credit sales, purchase orders. Therefore, it is assumed that only a sheet is maintained by the management department to determine the credit amount due to particular clients. After analysis the liquor market, it is observed that there are very less number of hotels offering motel rooms and liquor to the general public due to its high regulatory requirement and high fixed investment. In addition to this, they focus on direct customers who frequently visit and less inclined towards entering into same hotels. Therefore it could be inferred that hotel serving liquor and meals are more inclined towards generating cash sales and make less focus on credit sales due to their credit policies. However, credit sales could also be allowed by hotels to their regular clients (MOHAMMED KEDIR and ALEWI, 2014). Credit policies of large manufacture of leisure footwear, supplying shoes to a large number of independent footwear retails functioning through their shops These are several organizations that are making strategic alliance with retail business organizations to sell their stocks and products in market. The credit policies of large manufacture of leisure footwear, supplying shoes are very liberal and they are more inclined towards allowing their clients to purchase more and more products. In addition to this, it is also observed that there are high numbers of suppliers in footwear industry who are providing leisure footwear, supplying shoes to retails business organizations (Hargovan Harris 2011). It is further evaluated that retails business organizations do not have that much cash and they purchase stocks and goods only from those suppliers who provides them stock on credit terms. Therefore, in order to cope up with the market, all manufactures who are providing leisure footwear, supplying shoes to retails stores would agree on credit sales. However, in order to maintain effective credit policies, organization selling leisure footwear, supplying shoes should create operating life cycle by entering into contract with their clients. This type of process not only increase the overall profit of organizations but it also helps manufactures of leisure footwear, supplying shoes to establish an effective strategic alliance with other business organization. These manufacturers will have a high number of debtors in their balance sheet (NJENGA, 2014). However, these manufacturers would need to manage their receivables otherwise it may result into increment in the cost of capital and eventually will affect the cost of production of manufacture of leisure footwear, supplying shoes (Cholakova Clarysse, 2015). Differences between the credit policies prepared by these two organizations It is evaluated that hotel serving liquor and meals to its customers will have credit policies which will keep its credit sales as low as it could be. It is analyzed that hotel serving liquor and meals never want to increase its sales by increasing its credit sales. Companies indulged in serving liquor and meals to its customers are more inclined to deliver the best quality of services and less inclined to manipulate its credit sales to increase the overall turnover. On the other hand, manufacturers who provide footwear and supplying shoes to retails business stores are more inclined towards setting up an effective strategic alliance with their partners. Therefore, it is evaluated that credit policies and conditions set up by manufacturers that provide footwear and supplying shoes to retails business stores in their business are more liberal and more clients oriented. These types of policies are developed with a view to prepare strategic plan to compete with other suppliers in the ma rket. Therefore, in the end it would be inferred that manufactures who provide footwear and supplying shoes to retails business stores would have more liberal policies than Hotel business organizations offering liquor and other meals (Brigham Ehrhardt, 2016) There are several methods which could be used by credit manager in monitoring the status and composition of account receivables in both types of organizations (Raymond and Adigwe, 2015). Ratio analysis for control of receivables This analysis establishes the relation between two associated factors such as overall turnover and average receivable of organizations. However, organizations follow these methods to identify the maximum debt collection time which they could allow and maximum level of the total amount of credit sales which could be allowed (Black Gilson, 1998). The Ageing schedule of debtors is prepared basing on the collection period. Total amount of debtors are classified according to their age. This age analysis is used to decide what actions could be taken about older debts. Both organizations could use ageing analysis according to their period of outstanding, For instance, less than 30 days, 45 days and 75 days. This method could be implemented either manually or through computers (Selvanayaki et al. 2016). This analysis is used to maintain and prepare an effective control of inventories. Management of inventory an effective manner would result into effective management of receivables and would also reduce the cost of capital (Beck, 2016). These credit scoring will help both organizations to help organizations to measure the clients so that they could consider to whom they should allow credit sales. However, in these methods, both organizations would need to consider the track record and their business relation with their clients before allowing credit sales. Written plan for both companies It is the responsibility of finance manager to manage its receivable and cash accounts of the hotel serving liquor and meals. As this business is less inclined towards making credit sales to its customers due to high risk involved in the collection of payment. It is evaluated that the hotel serving liquor and meals would keep the interest rate @ 26% for its credit sales. If the hotel serving liquor and meals would make credit sales due to unexceptional circumstance then it will have debtors collection period of 60 days maximum. The company would also prepare bad debts provision for covering up its possible losses. However, finance manager would keep all the credit charges high and will force its clients to make payment hand to hand without any delay (Jonny, 2016). Manufacture of leisure footwear, supplying shoes needs to hold liberal business policies. It is evaluated that manufacture of leisure footwear, supplying shoes needs to provide all its goods on credit basis to retails business stores. The manufacture would keep the interest rate very low @ 10% for its credit sales. Debtors collection period for the clients who have purchased goods on credits terms would be around 120 days. However, retails business stores who are ready to make payment before their due date would be given additional discounts and offers. Manufacture would need to keep high amount of debt provision in its balance sheet for its contingent liabilities and bad debts losses (Barton Wiseman, 2014). Conclusion There are different types of cash policies and methods for collection of cash which are discussed in this report. In addition to this, it is further observed that all the organizations are required to implement an effective level of credit policies and methods for collection of cash from the market. Now in the end, it would be inferred that companies should prepare their credit policies as per their nature of business, factors affecting and market conditions. References Abor, J.Y., 2017. Behavioral and Emotional Disorders in Special Education

Behavioral and Emotional Disorders in Special Education Behavioral and emotional disorders fall under the rubric of Emotional Disturbance, Emotional Support, Severely Emotionally Challenged, or other state designations. Emotional Disturbance is the descriptive designation for behavioral and emotional disorders in the Federal Law, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Emotional disturbances are those that occur over an extended period and prevent children from succeeding educationally or socially in a school setting. They are characterized by one or more of the following: An inability to learn that cannot be explained by intellectual, sensory, or health factors. An inability to create or sustain reciprocal relationships with peers and teachers.Inappropriate types of behavior or feelings in typical situations or environments.A pervasive mood of unhappiness or depression.Frequent occurrences of physical symptoms or fears attached to personal or school problems. Children who are given an ED diagnosis often receive special education support while participating in general education. Many, however, are placed in self-contained programs to gain the behavioral, social and emotional skills and learn strategies that will help them succeed in general education settings. Unfortunately, many children with diagnoses of Emotional Disturbance are put into special programs to remove them from local schools that have failed to address their needs. Behavioral Disabilities Behavioral disabilities are those that cannot be attributed to psychiatric disorders such as major depression, schizophrenia, or developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorders. Behavioral disabilities are identified in children whose behavior prevents them from functioning successfully in educational settings, putting either themselves or their peers in danger, and preventing them from participating fully in the general education program. The Behavioral Disabilities fall into two categories: Conduct Disorders: Of the two behavioral designations, Conduct Disorder is the more severe. According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual IV-TR, Conduct Disorder: The essential feature of conduct disorder is a repetitive and persistent pattern of behavior in which the basic rights of others or major age-appropriate societal norms or rules are violated. Children with conduct disorders often are placed in self-contained classrooms or special programs until they have improved enough to return to general education classes. Children with conduct disorders are aggressive, hurting other students. They ignore or defy conventional behavioral expectations, and frequently Oppositional Defiant Disorder Less serious, and less aggressive than a conduct disorder, children with oppositional defiance disorder still tend to be negative, argumentative and defiant. Children with oppositional defiance are not aggressive, violent or destructive, as are children with conduct disorder, but their inability to cooperative with adults or peers often isolates them and creates serious impediments to social and academic success. Both Conduct Disorders and Oppositional Defiant Disorder are diagnosed in children under 18. Children who are older than 18 are typically evaluated for antisocial disorder or other personality disorders. Psychiatric Disorders A number of psychiatric disorders also qualify students under the IDEA category of Emotional Disturbances. We need to remember that educational institutions are not equipped to treat mental illness, only to provide educational services. Some children are seen in pediatric psychiatric facilities (hospitals or clinics) in order to be provided medical treatment. Many children with psychiatric disorders are receiving medication. In most cases, teachers providing special education services or teachers in general education classrooms who will be teaching them are not given that information, which is confidential medical information. Many psychiatric disorders are not diagnosed until a child is at least 18. Those psychiatric diagnoses that are under Emotional Disturbance include (but are not limited to): Anxiety disorderBipolar (manic-depression) disorderEating DisordersObsessive-Compulsive DisorderPsychotic Disorders When these conditions create any of the challenges listed above, from the inability to perform academically to the frequent occurrences of physical symptoms or fears due to school problems, then these students need to receive special education services, in some cases to receive their education in a special classroom. When these psychiatric challenges occasionally create problems for the student, they may be addressed with support, accommodations and specially designed instruction (SDIs.) When students with psychiatric disorders are placed in a self-contained classroom, they respond well to the strategies that help Behavior Disorders, including routines, positive behavior support, and individualized instruction. Evaluation High School Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words

Evaluation High School - Essay Example One alternative toward overcoming this disadvantage would be to form and write first in my own language and then translate to English, but I think that would not be productive. In fact, I believe it has been a valuable experience for me to learn to both think and write in English. I believe this experience, frustrating as it is, will make me not just a better writer, but a better student. One of the greatest lessons I have learned is the almost magical process of revision. Sometimes when I read, I cannot help but believe that writers just put down on paper what is inside their head, and these first thoughts is what winds up on the paper. I think maybe a lot of students who are not really good writers think this, and I believe it may be why so many find writing a challenge. I think if more students and children knew that what they are reading was maybe the fifth or tenth or hundredth revision, they would not be so afraid of writing themselves. Revising has taught me the power of making the thoughts in my head turn into what ends up on the paper. Helping me with the revision process has the been the writing center here at school. Everyone working there has been a great help. They are very knowledgeable and able to share their knowledge.

Eliminating the Home Mortgage Tax Deduction Essay

Eliminating the Home Mortgage Tax Deduction - Essay Example White argue that taxpayers were now allowed to deduct interest they pay on secured loan by qualified homes, either their main home or a second home. The loans in this case include first and second mortgages, credit’s home equity line and home equity loans. White (1) argues that recreational vehicles and even boats may also qualify as home in case they have cooking sleeping and toilet facilities. White notes that millions of US homeowners depend on the Mortgage Interest Tax Deduction as a way of reducing their true cost of homeownership and have more disposable income. This interest is filed on form 1040 of schedule A accompanied with other itemized deductions such as medical expenses, real estate property tax and donations. In this case, taxpayers are expected to fill in Schedule A, to determine if their itemized deductions exceed the standard. If this is proved so, then taxpayers will save more money based on their taxes by itemizing. Over the past years, many issues and cont roversies surrounding Home Mortgage Tax Deduction have arisen as to whether or not it should be scraped. Many economists consider it a waste of money due to concern about the federal budget deficit (Perez 1). They argue that Home Mortgage Tax Deduction does very little to assist in lowering income homeowners make the changeover from renters to owners. These economists say that Home Mortgage Tax Deduction only encourage upper income buyers to buy big homes to take bigger mortgages a view which I also concur with. This paper will discuss why Home Mortgage Tax Deduction should be scraped as a way of cutting the budget. History of the residential housing market Muth and Goodman (1) argue that housing is the most precious and unique commodity. In US for instance, about one-seventh of all personal consumption expenditures are on housing exclusive of other household operations and furnishing. They notes that residential real estate accounts for more than half of the US fixed capital stock and about one-quarter of the country’s gross lending investments are made up of construction of residential estates. Mortgage lending has however varied for one-quarter to one-fifth of all funds raised by Americas credit markets. United States is one country that has faced economic housing bubbles over the past few years affecting many parts of the countries housing market. For instance, the prices of housing peaked at the beginning of 2006 with a decline towards 2007 reaching its low recently in this year. For instance, at around December 2008, the home price index of Case-Shiller reported the largest drop in prices in America’s history. It is argued that increased rates of foreclosure between 2006 and 2007 among homeowners in US is what led to the crisis that hit the country in August 2008 for credit, subprime, mortgage, hedge funds. Leader of the realty and mortgage industries Economy Watch (1) notes that real estate industry emerged as one of the major industries i n the united states over the past few years. It argues that the housing bubble witnessed in Florida, California, and Michigan, and New York brought with it major changes in real estate in US. The housing bubble was the result of an increase in valuation of real estate in the US domestic territory. Economy Watch reports that mortgage lenders, commercial banks and other financial

Platos Reflection on Metaphysics Essay Example for Free

Platos Reflection on Metaphysics Essay A combination of the Greek word, meta, which translates to â€Å"after,† â€Å"beyond,† â€Å"along with,† â€Å"among,† and â€Å"behind,† and the Latin term, physica, that simply means the science of matter and physical properties. Philosophers refer to this term to theorize about the different elements of the world in which we live and the world that truly exists. One of the most prominent philosophers is Plato, who set the foundation for many modern philosophers on their perspective of reality through reason. Plato believed in two separate realities; the physical and the immaterial. He claimed that a dividing line existed between the two worlds, and the immaterial or intelligible is of more importance in the discovery of truth than the physical properties of our world. Comprised of intangible properties but that can be seen through logic, the immaterial world is grasping the reason behind the idea of an object and separating those elements from the subject. Plato explicates the physical world as anything or objects that is identified by one of our five senses. Within the physical world are two subsets, image and tangible object. Image refers to the shadow or reflection of the image. In addition, the physical object is self explanatory; the object distinguished by touch, taste, smell, or sight. Although primarily disconnected, the two worlds cannot exist without each other and the knowledge that pertains to both. For example, Plato utilizes a ball as the subject to form an analogy of the collaboration between the two realities. From childhood, we are taught that a ball is a ball based on others perception and knowledge of it; not our original thought. The ball exists in the world of appearances, physical. However, its intangible properties such as, roundness, exist on a parallel plane. Plato describes that plane as the world of Forms. In an effort to further enlighten us, Plato sets guidelines for the properties to forms. First, forms are objective; ideas exist through reason and not experiential. Objects that we perceive are reliant upon our experiences and verbal confirmation of the object and not the actual perspective of the object. Therefore, one can surmise that our senses are isleading, and the reality in which we live is different from others and the true reality. Next, forms are transcendent. The property remains true in spite of time and space. Third, forms are eternal. As aforementioned, Plato believes forms are unchanging; true concept behind an object is unchanging, redness. The form is separate from our subjective image. True comprehension lies in individually analyzing each separate form that comprises the object an d identifies it as what we perceive it as. Forth, forms are models; truest essence of an idea to which an object copies the form and combines it with other elements to create a copied version of a sample of the form. Fifth, forms are intellectual species; can only be determined through reason separating the being from the object. Lastly, forms are perfection. In its purest state, a form is a singular entity. A material object collects bits of forms and its perfection making the object itself impure. A material object cannot be perfect in its existence because it is but an imitation of several forms that only alone are perfect. Plato’s concept of reality or the simultaneous existence of the two realities are at best intriguing and worthy of exploring. However, as he himself stated, we can never come in direct contact with the immaterial world. Therefore, how can true knowledge be acquired or ascertained? Once again, it is not until we are no longer part of this world that we may finally discover the truth behind this vast universe and the world or worlds in which we reside.

Frankenstein, Community, and the Individual Essay -- Literary Analysis

Many innovations throughout the modern world have made life significantly easier, safer, of higher quality, and are said to be done for the "greater good of humanity". However, these accomplishments come at a cost, as expressed through the concepts of creation and responsibility that lie at the core of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. It is through these concepts that Shelley explores how society has changed during Romanticism and the Industrial Revolution, with lessening importance on shared knowledge and the "public sphere" and more emphasis on individual achievement and identity, leading to a fractured and isolated society. In this paper I argue that Mary Shelley's Frankenstein criticizes the impacts of Industrial Revolution and Romantic era-inspired individualism on the community and individual, using Victor Frankenstein's disruption of the reproductive process and subsequent relationship with his creation as examples of potential negative consequences. To begin our analysis, I will look to how Mary Shelley positions Victor Frankenstein's motivations to create life against natural laws within the ideas of individualism, as Victor can correlate directly to the educated human at the center of Enlightenment, Industrialism, and Romanticism values. With the burgeoning interest in scientific discovery during the Industrial Revolution "transform[ing] British culture" and "changing the world"(Lipking 2065), many concepts of society were also changed, which Shelley looked to explore through Victor's actions. Rooted in the scientifically curious spirit of Industrial England, Victor's attempt to create life can show many examples of how an importance of the individual acquisition of knowledge and accomplishment can disrupt society. Challenges for Professional Care of Advanced Dementia

Challenges for professional care of advanced dementia The research purpose of this study was clear, as it was intended to report on the challenges for health professionals in caring for people with advanced dementia living in long term care facilities. This study used a qualitative methodology based on action research. â€Å"Action research collects information from key stakeholders and provides ongoing feedback to participants, thereby facilitating change that improves practice. † (Chang et al. , 2009, p. 42). The essence of the study aimed to expose the challenges for key professional providers of care for people with advanced dementia. â€Å"Descriptions of these challenges provide professional carers and policy makers with insights into the unique needs of the person with advanced dementia†. (Chang et al. , 2009, p. 42) Participants were selected from professional providers in Australia from 2003-2006. All of the participants cared for patients with advanced dementia in their profession. They brought a comparative perspective to the success of the study. There were several focus groups compiled that included general practitioners, palliative care speciality staff, palliative care volunteer managers and volunteers, aged or dementia specialist health care professionals, and residential aged care facility staff. All participants were highly qualified with all having more than ten years experience in their field. The sample was non-random, interviewing 13 participants that were recruited from staff of 10 residential aged care facilities. There was a total of 20 in-depth interviews. Within the sample, five of them large high care facilities, two medium-sized high care (51-74 beds), one small high care (< 50 beds), one medium sized low care (hostel) facility and one small low care facility. The Director of Nurses nominated the the staff for the interviews. â€Å"The sampling was purposive, with expertise in palliative dementia care of the selection criterion†. (Chang et al. , 2009, p. 43) The data collection process was adequately described. It may have been beneficial with respect to gaining deeper personal insight, if the researchers had sought to answer more probing questions in the approach. The researchers used semi-structured questions with focus groups that lasted 1. 5-2 hours. The role of the researcher was to find question that were critiqued by an expert panel. The questions seemed to be based on pre-defined information given to the researcher agreed on by the panel. The information was gathered by interview questions in the focus groups. The uestions seemed to be based on pre-defined information given to the researcher agreed on by the focus groups. The ethical considerations of participants were followed using standard procedures and approved by area health service ethics review committee. Informed consents were used as well as anonymity of patients and participants. â€Å"The data analysis was by constant comparative method†. (Chang et al. , 2009, p. 43). They used five focus groups (total n = 24) and 20 follow-up individual interviews (Chang et al. , 2009, p. 41). The concepts collected were organized and compared with other ideas that emerged from the data. Regarding the background of the study, it was noted that there are many behavioural symptoms and comorbiditics associated with advanced dementia. In the last 12 months of life, it also was noted that many symptoms occur that need to be managed by decision makers such as family members. The researchers noted that during this time, the complex care decisions, such as whether to administer antibiotics and whether to place the patient in a facility or hospital are important decisions that must be validated. There are a number of other factors that could effect the study, yet were not addressed by the researchers. The catagories, themes and findings presented a whole picture and yielded a meaningful picture of the study by attesting to the complexity of caring for people with advanced dementia living in residential aged care facilities, and the challenges of professionals. Participants did agree that assessing a verbally non-communicative person is difficult. Physicians found that examining patients also was difficult. Skills deficit were noted. One-third of participants noted a reluctance to use appropriate amounts of analgesia regarding pain. There was a clear connection between the data and the participants regarding the management of dementia-related behaviors. The data collected did attest to the complexity of caring for patients with advanced dementia who reside in residential care facilities and the challenges that they bring to health care professionals. Researchers identified the philosophical and theoretical basis for the study. Educating aged care professionals about early palliation might improve care outcomes for residents†. Aged care staff need a strong rationale for their decisions. † (Chang et al. , 2009, p. 45) This study highlighted the challenges in meeting the demands of caring for patients with advanced dementia who reside in residential care facilities. The researchers found there was a number of factors that could effect the aged care of residents with advanced de mentia; however challenges will always remain. All of the participants found that is was very difficult to assess patients with advanced dementia. They found that these patients were unable to report symptoms such as pain and exhibited many different behavioral issues. There were study limitations regarding the sample size and the non-random sampling. The sample size was small and not representative of a population owing to that size. Other challenges and limitations may have been noted if different questions had been asked of the patients. In conclusion, the researchers found that it may be crucial to use continuity of care when caring for these patients. According to some of the participants, their lack of knowledge about palliative care was limited. This study did highlight the challenges that key professional care encounter when caring for patients with advanced dementia. Increase in education will provide a better understanding of the needs of patients with advanced dementia. Key professional will be able to initiate an appropriate care plan if the clinical progress of dementia is described.
